The farm
A brand new creation of ours - 50% of the caffeine. With this blend, 50% of the coffee is decaffeinated, using our Peruvian Swiss Water Decaf. The other half is our Direct Trade Nicaraguan La Bastilla. A delicious coffee with less of the caffeine for those of you that don't want to go all the way.
The Nicaraguan Jinotega estate is located in the midst of a mountainous natural reserve where all cherries are handpicked according to the microclimates of each individual farm, to maximise their potential. With the Teach a Man to Fish charity, we fund three children through the on-site technical college of La Bastilla, providing them the skills to move into tourism, animal husbandry and farming. The Peruvian beans are produced by the Alto Mayo Agricultural Coffee Cooperative, founded on July 15, 2012 by a group of 15 people intending to combine their passion and ideologies, and to remove their reliance on intermediaries. The process simply uses pure water and osmosis to produce coffee that is 99.9% free of caffeine.
