1000 Hills
Bright, clean flavours from Rwanda. A classic washed Rwandan profile, bringing the bright, citrus fruit flavours coupled with toffee, tea and cinnamon gives this coffee some complexity. This is ideal for a filter brew, best served black from a pour over or aeropress. A coffee for those who want to brew some lip smacking filter coffee, that only comes from speciality grade coffee.
1000 hills is named after the vast green terrain of the surrounding areas of Kigali. This high-altitude, landlocked nation provides the perfect conditions for speciality coffee, a sector in which Rwanda continues to grow stronger year after year. This lot is brought together from small scale producers in this "1000 Hills" region by the Rwandan Trading Company; who over the years have been investing in renovating old farms, and after 9 years of agronomy training has donated over 5 million seedlings across a number of locations to progress and elevate Rwandan coffee for small scale producers.
